Thangam World School is a well-established CBSE-affiliated co-educational institution in Salem, Tamil Nadu committed to holistic learning, creativity, and academic excellence. Founded in 2010, the school embraces a balanced approach where academic rigour blends with character development, leadership, and life skills.

CIVOM partnered with Thangam World School to conceptualize and execute a comprehensive library environment that goes beyond shelving books. Our brief included designing and supplying all furniture and learning tools while ensuring each element responded to the school’s pedagogical vision nurturing curious, confident, and future-ready thinkers.

The library at Thangam World School was envisioned as a dynamic learning hub not just a room for books but a space that supports multiple ways of engaging with knowledge. CIVOM designed and supplied all furniture, ensuring that every seating type, storage solution, and work surface contributes to purposeful learning. This includes ergonomic tables and chairs that encourage both focused study and collaborative exploration, flexible seating that adapts to different activities, and intelligently designed shelving that keeps the space open yet efficient.

The overall design honours the school’s child-centred ethos: intuitive, comfortable, and open to possibilities. Through well-planned zones and furniture that supports movement and choice, the library space now invites students to explore, read, collaborate, reflect, and create with ease and joy.

CIVOM’s involvement spanned from early conceptualisation to execution, ensuring a cohesive library transformation that supports modern pedagogies and student needs:

  • Concept-Led Planning: We began by understanding the school’s learning philosophy, daily rhythms, and spatial constraints to create a library concept that feels intuitive and supportive.
  • Furniture Design & Supply: CIVOM crafted and provided all furniture from study tables and seating clusters to modular units and interactive workstations tailored to the school’s size, scale, and student demographics.
  • Functional Zoning: Even within a compact footprint, the space now accommodates quiet study zones, group collaboration areas, informal seating, and book browsing niches, each activated by custom furniture solutions.
  • Aesthetic Clarity & Student-First Design: Material finishes, colour tones, and ergonomic details were thoughtfully chosen to appeal to young learners while maintaining durability and comfort.
  • Pedagogical Support: The furniture ecosystem supports varied learning styles independent reading, peer discussions, teacher-guided activities, and digital research making the library a versatile academic hub.

    Through careful planning, customized solutions, and seamless execution, CIVOM helped Thangam World School’s library evolve into a space that aligns with their vision of nurturing curiosity, fostering confidence, and supporting meaningful learning experiences.

Hi, I’m Mr. Selvaraj, Principal of ACT Secondary School. After hearing about CIVOM, we decided to set up a library in our school. We approached CIVOM and their team, who came to meet with me. The first meeting went very well; they explained clearly how they would set up the library, including the different models, designs, and materials for furniture and racks. It took them about two months to manufacture the materials and furniture. Once everything was ready, they came to our school, identified the room for the setup, and completed the entire project in just 4-5 days. They took care of everything—flooring, materials, furniture, and the complete interior. The results were fantastic. On the first day back, the students immediately fell in love with the library. They were drawn to the welcoming environment, the new furniture, and the overall positive atmosphere. This new library has created a wonderful space that motivates and energizes the students to engage with books. I highly recommend CIVOM to other schools for setting up their libraries. Thank you.

CIVOM has set up several state-of-the-art laboratories on the campus of Parul University. Among the most notable are the Medical Library at the Parul Institute of Medical Sciences and Research and our library for the BBA college. If you visit these libraries, you'll see some of the finest facilities in university education.
In addition to the libraries, CIVOM has also established admission cell offices and faculty offices for us. The feedback from parents, students, and teachers has been overwhelmingly positive. Everyone is very satisfied with the work done by CIVOM. The promoters of CIVOM have a fantastic sense of aesthetics, and the comfort and quality of their infrastructure are remarkable.
Given our satisfaction with this project, we have also entrusted CIVOM with the establishment of our Homeopathy and Ayurveda libraries, which will be coming up soon. Additionally, they will be setting up various faculty offices on our university premises.
